VALKE VS STEVAL PUMAS (Pre-Season Friendly) | 05 June 2014 (Kempton Park)

Coach Jimmy Stonehouse and the STEVAL PUMAS are officially embarking on the road to the 2014 ABSA Currie Cup Premier Division on Friday when they play their first "friendly" against the Valke.

Former PUMAS u21 star Johan Pretorius starts in the number nine jersey with JC Roos on Fly-half. Dewald Pretorius and Ashwin Scott are the centre pairing and Marcello Sampson fully recovered from his injuries and Deon Scholtz on the wings. The young exciting Blitzbok Ruwellyn Isbell get's his chance to shine on full back in the

Brian Shabangu starts from the bench and one of the players with a point to prove is Jaco Bouwer who will start in the number 6 jersey with the legendary Doppies Le Roux at number 8. Another youngster joining the team on trial from the Impi coached by John Mitchell is Adam Wessels who will be starting from the bench.

Missing out on the opportunity to impress coach Stonehouse is Sabelo Nhlapo who is currently out for 8 weeks with a torn triceps muscle. Trompie Pretorius is still on the sideline with his injury but the Rocket Rosko Specman is back on Monday after the injury he sustained during his stint with the Blitzbokke.

The game will be played as a friendly and the rolling substitute system will be in affect.
